"The establishment of the MTN program is a natural next step in our financing strategy," Chief Financial Officer Joel Davidsson said in a statement.

"It enables a more flexible and diversified financing base for continued long-term value creation through acquisitions."

The move follows a history of expansion through acquisitions, including the purchase of Heritage Distribution in 2023, which was financed with a bridge facility of approximately 13.6 billion Swedish Kronor.

Beijer Ref recently reported a record-high operating margin for its second quarter.

Handelsbanken arranged the program, with Nordea and Danske Bank also acting as issuing agents, according to the company.
