Sweden's Addtech to acquire 80% stake in German vehicle safety firm Axion
Swedish technology group Addtech AB said Thursday it has agreed to acquire an 80% stake in German vehicle-safety systems provider Axion AG.
Axion, which develops and supplies camera and sensor systems for vehicles, has an annual turnover of around 23 million euros and employs 28 people, Addtech said.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The German company will be integrated into Addtech's Vehicle Solution business unit, which is part of the Addtech Industry business area.
The acquisition follows a corporate reorganization that took effect on Oct. 1, aimed at strengthening conditions for future growth.
The deal is subject to approval from competition authorities and is expected to close in early January 2026, according to the company.
Addtech said the acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive impact on its earnings per share for the current fiscal year.
