Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB on Wednesday reported a 13% rise in second-quarter revenue, driven by strong sales in its haematology drug portfolio.
The Stockholm-based rare-disease specialist said total revenue rose to 6.18 billion Swedish Kronor from 5.44 billion Swedish Kronor a year earlier.
Operating profit increased to SEK 1.01 billion from SEK 612 million, even as the company recorded SEK 237 million in costs related to the restructuring of its U.S. operations and research and development functions.
According to the company, the haematology division's revenue grew 27% at constant currencies, led by the launch of Altuvoct and strong sales of Doptelet.
The immunology division saw an 11% revenue increase, driven by its drug Gamifant.
The restructuring continues a strategic focus on its core areas, following a similar reorganization of its R&D unit in 2019, the company said.
Sobi maintained its full-year 2025 outlook, anticipating revenue growth of a high single-digit percentage at constant exchange rates and an adjusted profit margin in the mid-30s percentage of revenue.
