Embracer Group names Phil Rogers as new CEO, Lars Wingefors proposed as executive chair

Embracer Group announced a significant leadership shuffle Tuesday, appointing Phil Rogers as its new CEO, effective August 1, 2025.

Current CEO and co-founder Lars Wingefors is proposed to become the Executive Chair of the Board at the company's Annual General Meeting on September 18, 2025.

Kicki Wallje-Lund, the current Chair, is proposed to be Deputy Chair.

"While the road has not always been straight, I am incredibly proud of the achievements made possible by our talented teams, which have created some incredible experiences for gamers," said Lars Wingefors.

He added, "This new phase allows me to focus on strategic initiatives, M&A, and capital allocation, ensuring Embracer's continued growth and success."

In his new role, Wingefors will focus on capital allocation, M&A, and strategy, the company said.

Additionally, Jacob Jonmyren will be appointed Chair of the Board of Coffee Stain Group, with Lars Wingefors and Coffee Stain Group CEO Anton Westbergh joining as directors.

Erik Sunnerdahl, currently Group Finance Director at Embracer, has been appointed CFO of Coffee Stain Group.

Embracer reiterated its intention to spin off Coffee Stain Group as an independent company listed on Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market by the end of 2025, after which Embracer intends to rebrand as Fellowship Entertainment.
