Pandora A/S said Tuesday that Chief Executive Alexander Lacik will retire in March 2026 and will be succeeded by the company's marketing chief, Berta de Pablos-Barbier.

Mr. Lacik, who took the helm in April 2019, will step down at the company's annual general meeting on March 11, 2026, after leading a successful turnaround of the Danish jewelry maker.

Under his leadership, revenue has grown by 45% and the company launched its "Phoenix" strategy to transform into a full jewellery brand, according to the company.

Ms. de Pablos-Barbier joined Pandora as Chief Marketing Officer in November 2024 and has led the brand's strategic positioning under the Phoenix plan.

Her previous experience includes roles as President and CEO of LVMH’s champagne brands and Chief Growth Officer of Mars Wrigley.

The appointment follows a global search as part of the board's long-term succession planning.

"The Board is delighted that Berta de Pablos-Barbier will be Pandora’s next CEO," said Peter Ruzicka, Chair of the Board of Directors.

"Together with Alexander Lacik, we brought her on board as a possible CEO candidate, and during our search she stood out as the clear number one."

The leadership change comes as Pandora navigates a challenging economic environment, having recently reported sales growth but also narrowing profit margins due to macroeconomic pressures.
