Finnish telecom operator Elisa reported a rise in second-quarter revenue and core earnings, driven by growth in its mobile services and a strategic focus on new technologies like artificial intelligence and 5.5G.

The company's revenue for the quarter increased 2% to 552 million euros, while comparable earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization grew 4.3% to 198 million euros from the same period a year earlier.

Mobile service revenue rose 3.4% to 260 million euros, which the company attributed to an upgrade of its consumer subscriptions that includes new security features.

During the quarter, Elisa said it became the first operator globally to offer mobile subscriptions using 5.5G technology and expanded a collaboration with Google Cloud to implement AI-driven network operations.

The company also launched an AI-assisted service for business customers that provides automatic note-taking and summaries for phone calls.

CEO Topi Manner said the performance “clearly demonstrates our strong commitment to faster profitable growth, creating customer value by being a frontrunner in technology, and continuously improving our productivity and quality.”

The company added 42,800 post-paid mobile subscriptions during the period.

Elisa maintained its full-year guidance, estimating that 2025 revenue and comparable Ebitda will be at the same level as or slightly higher than in 2024, according to the company.
