IG Group chairman to step down, succession process begins

IG Group Holdings said Monday that its Chairman, Mike McTighe, has informed the board of his intention to step down by the end of 2025.

McTighe has held the position at the online trading company since February 2020.

The company said the process for appointing a successor is underway.

McTighe will stand for re-election at the group's upcoming annual general meeting on Sept. 17, according to the announcement.

"It has been a great honour and privilege to lead the Board over the past five years," McTighe said in a statement.

"With solid foundations laid for stronger growth, I am confident that under Breon Corcoran's leadership, IG will go from strength to strength."
