Demant A/S's Oticon unit on Wednesday launched a new line of hearing aids featuring artificial intelligence and enhanced connectivity options, aiming to bolster its product portfolio amid a competitive market.
The company announced the Oticon Zeal, a new in-the-ear hearing aid that uses AI for sound processing, at an industry conference in Germany.
Oticon also expanded its existing Intent family with a new small, rechargeable behind-the-ear power device, according to a company statement.
Both new product lines will support Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast broadcast technology.
The hearing aids will also be the first in the industry to feature Google's Fast Pair, allowing for easier connection to Android phones, the company said.
The Oticon Zeal will be rolled out in some European markets in the fourth quarter of 2025, with a global launch planned for 2026.
The new Intent device will be available globally in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The product launch comes after Demant recently lowered its 2025 financial outlook, citing soft market conditions and intense competition.
The Danish company is also in the process of divesting its hearing implant business to sharpen its focus on its core hearing aid and retail operations.
