Lagercrantz deepens its strategic push into road safety
Swedish technology group Lagercrantz Group AB announced Tuesday it has acquired 100% of the shares in Epoke A/S, a Danish manufacturer of winter road maintenance equipment.
Epoke generates annual revenues of approximately 240 million Danish Kroner with good profitability, Lagercrantz said in a statement.
The acquisition marks another step in Lagercrantz's expansion into the road safety market, following its purchase of Nordic Road Safety, a supplier of safety barrier systems, in December 2023.
Lagercrantz, a group of some 85 niche technology companies with annual revenues exceeding 9 billion Swedish Kroner, frequently grows through acquisitions.
“I see Lagercrantz as a strategic, long-term owner who will support our continued growth by building on our market position and industry expertise”, said Peter Bertelsen, MD of Epoke.
Patrik Klerck, Head of Division International at Lagercrantz, said the company brings “niche market leadership, best in class technology, and a strong platform for growth in both Denmark and international markets”.
Epoke will be part of Lagercrantz's Division International, and the deal is expected to have a small positive impact on the group's earnings per share, according to the company.
