Atlas Copco buys three companies in less than a week
Swedish industrial group Atlas Copco has announced three acquisitions in less than a week, expanding its global compressor business with deals in Spain, South Korea, and the United States.
The latest deal, announced Tuesday, is for Spanish manufacturer Arizaga Bastarrica y Compañia S.A., also known as ABC Compressors.
ABC Compressors, which produces reciprocating compressors for gas and air, had revenues of approximately 84 million euros in 2024, the company said.
The acquisition, for which a price was not disclosed, is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025 and will add 319 employees to Atlas Copco.
“We are happy to welcome ABC Compressors to Atlas Copco Group. With this acquisition we add an innovative technology which will enhance our offering within gas and air compression,” said Philippe Ernens, Business Area President for Compressor Technique.
The Spanish deal follows the acquisitions of South Korean compressor maker Kyungwon Machinery Industry Co., announced June 18, and the compressed air business of U.S.-based Air Mac Inc., announced June 13.
According to company statements, the Kyungwon deal adds a business with 2024 revenues of about 60 billion South Korean Won, while the Air Mac acquisition brings a business with revenues of about 17 million U.S. dollars last year.
All three acquired businesses will be integrated into Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique Business Area.
