Demant A/S will acquire German hearing aid retailer KIND Group for 700 million Euros (approximately 5.2 billion Danish Kroner) in its largest-ever acquisition, the company announced Wednesday.

The deal expands Demant's global Hearing Care business to over 4,500 clinics, with KIND adding around 650 clinics, mainly in Germany, Demant said.

"Our shared values of trust, care and innovation match perfectly, and the combination of KIND’s strong brand and proven track record with Demant’s state-of-the-art technology, global scale and experience in providing hearing care is a unique strategic fit," stated Søren Nielsen, President & CEO of Demant.

KIND is expected to contribute around 300 million Euros in revenue in 2026 with a mid-teens EBIT margin before special items, according to Demant.

The company anticipates full synergies by the end of 2027 and expects the deal to be earnings per share accretive in the first year post-closing.

Financed through debt, the acquisition has led Demant to suspend its share buy-back programme, the company said.

Demant's 2025 financial outlook is otherwise unchanged pending closing, which is expected in the second half of 2025 subject to regulatory approvals.
