London Stock Exchange Group and Microsoft announced an expansion of their strategic partnership to integrate LSEG's licensed financial data with Microsoft's artificial intelligence tools.

The collaboration will allow customers to build custom AI agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio using LSEG data and deploy them directly into their workflows, the companies said on Monday.

This integration is enabled by a new server managed by LSEG that uses the Model Context Protocol, an open-source standard designed to securely connect data to AI applications.

LSEG said its datasets, which will be made available for building these tools, total more than 33 petabytes.

"LSEG customers can build, deploy and scale agentic AI directly into their workflows with secure, seamless connectivity through MCP," said David Schwimmer, Group Chief Executive Officer of LSEG.

The company stated that access to the data will be rolled out in phases, starting with its LSEG Financial Analytics product.

The partnership aims to help financial professionals enhance decision-making and productivity by combining LSEG's data with Microsoft's AI capabilities, according to the announcement.
