Elekta appoints Jakob Just-Bomholt as new president and CEO

Elekta announced Monday the appointment of Jakob Just-Bomholt as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2025.

Just-Bomholt, currently CEO of Danish 3D scanning and software company 3Shape, will join Elekta in August for onboarding, working with current Acting CEO Jonas Bolander, the company said.

Dr Laurent Leksell, Elekta’s Founder and Chairman, stated, "His strategic leadership and international experience, combined with a proven ability to drive profitable growth and global expansion through customer-focused innovation and operational excellence, make him very well-suited to lead Elekta forward."

Just-Bomholt commented, "I am honored to join Elekta, a company with a proud legacy and a powerful mission to improve the lives of people with cancer."
