Lagercrantz Group AB announced on Tuesday it has acquired 100% of the shares in Epoke A/S, a Danish manufacturer specializing in winter road maintenance equipment.
Epoke, based in South Jutland, Denmark, generates annual revenues of approximately 240 million Danish Kroner and maintains good profitability, Lagercrantz said.
Founded in the 1930s, Epoke is recognized for its technologically advanced and environmentally sustainable solutions in the road safety industry, according to the acquiring company.
"I see Lagercrantz as a strategic, long-term owner who will support our continued growth by building on our market position and industry expertise,” Peter Bertelsen, Managing Director of Epoke, said in a statement.
Patrik Klerck, Head of Division International at Lagercrantz, commented, ”We are delighted to welcome Epoke to Lagercrantz. The company brings niche market leadership, best in class technology, and a strong platform for growth in both Denmark and international markets”.
Epoke will be integrated into Lagercrantz's Division International, the company said.
The acquisition is anticipated to have a small positive effect on Lagercrantz Group’s earnings per share, the company stated.
Lagercrantz Group is a technology group comprising some 85 companies, each focused on a specific niche market, with annual revenues exceeding 9 billion Swedish Kroner.
