Swedish electronics equipment maker Mycronic AB on Friday raised its full-year sales forecast, citing a strong second quarter and recent acquisitions, even as its order intake fell sharply.

The company said it now expects net sales for 2025 to be at a level of 7.5 billion Swedish kronor, up from a previous forecast of between 7.0 billion and 7.5 billion kronor.

The revised guidance came as Mycronic reported a 37% drop in second-quarter order intake to 1.33 billion kronor, which it attributed to a lack of new system orders in its Pattern Generators division.

However, net sales for the quarter rose 35% to 2.07 billion kronor, while operating profit increased to 568 million kronor from 348 million a year earlier.

“Following a strong second quarter, completed acquisitions and reduced time for uncertainty since there are less than six months remaining of the year, the Outlook for 2025 has been revised,” Chief Executive Anders Lindqvist said in a statement.

The company has been active on the acquisition front, purchasing U.S.-based Surfx Technologies in June and U.K.-based RoBAT in April.

After the quarter ended, Mycronic also announced an agreement to acquire a majority stake in South Korean firm Cowin DST, according to a recent filing.

The company said its Global Technologies division saw strong order intake, which helped offset the decline in the Pattern Generators business.
