Demant will acquire German hearing aid retailer KIND Group for EUR 700 million (DKK 5.2 billion), its largest deal ever.
The deal expands Demant's global Hearing Care clinics to over 4,500, boosting its German presence, the company said.
The firms have partnered over 20 years. Søren Nielsen, Demant President & CEO, stated, “Our shared values of trust, care and innovation match perfectly, and the combination of KIND’s strong brand and proven track record with Demant’s state-of-the-art technology, global scale and experience in providing hearing care is a unique strategic fit.”
Dr. Alexander Kind, owner and CEO of KIND, said, “By joining forces with Demant, we have found the ideal partner to carry our legacy forward.”
KIND is expected to add EUR 300 million to Demant's 2026 revenue and boost earnings per share in the first year, according to Demant.
Demant has suspended its share buy-back programme; the deal is expected to close in the second half of 2025, pending regulatory approvals.
