JPMorgan Chase & Co. has increased its stake in Spectris plc to nearly 10% as the British industrial technology firm's takeover by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. moves toward completion.

The position consists of about 9.1% in direct voting rights with the remainder held through financial instruments, the filing showed.

The stake-building comes as KKR finalizes its 4.15 billion British Pounds acquisition of Spectris, a deal on which JPMorgan's investment banking arm is acting as the sole financial adviser to KKR.

The takeover has received key regulatory approvals and is expected to close by the first quarter of 2026, according to Spectris.

In a separate routine filing on Friday, Spectris confirmed it had 99,409,123 total voting rights.
