Hedge fund Millennium International Management has continued to increase its stake in Spectris, signaling confidence in the planned 4.15 billion British Pounds takeover of the industrial technology company by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.
A regulatory filing on Tuesday showed Millennium lifted its interest to 2.036% as of Sept. 1 through derivative contracts, up from 2.003% disclosed a day earlier.
The transactions were made at prices around 40.46 British Pounds per share, below KKR's offer of 41.75 British Pounds.
The move comes after Spectris shareholders voted overwhelmingly to approve the acquisition on Aug. 27.
The deal is now awaiting final court and regulatory approvals, which the company has said it expects to be completed in or by the first quarter of 2026.
In a separate routine filing on Wednesday, required under U.K. takeover rules, Spectris confirmed it had approximately 99.38 million total voting rights.
