Danish drugmaker ALK on Tuesday raised its full-year revenue forecast for 2025, citing stronger-than-expected sales in Europe and an improved outlook for the rest of the year.
The company said it now expects revenue to grow by 12% to 14% in local currencies, up from its previous forecast of 9% to 13%.
ALK maintained its operating profit margin outlook, which is still expected to improve by 5 percentage points to 25%.
The upgrade was driven by strong second-quarter sales of adrenaline autoinjectors and allergy tablets in Europe, a momentum the company expects will continue and be supported by solid tablet sales growth in North America.
The company recently launched its needle-free adrenaline nasal spray, EURneffy, in Germany and gained approval for it in the U.K., which it described as Europe’s largest market for such treatments.
Based on preliminary second-quarter results, ALK said total revenue grew by 12% in local currencies to 1.53 billion Danish Krone ($220 million), while operating profit increased by 41% to 375 million Danish Krone.
The company said it would allocate additional funds to strategic growth investments in the second half of the year based on the improved revenue outlook.
This marks another upward revision for the company, which also raised its guidance in June 2024, citing similar strength in European sales.
