Swedish construction company Skanska has been awarded a contract by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to design and replace the Rourke Bridge in Lowell, Massachusetts, the company announced Tuesday.

Skanska announced on Tuesday it has signed a supplemental contract with Virginia Tech, valued at USD 240 million (approximately SEK 2.5 billion), to construct a new College of Engineering building.
